AliBot ("the bot") is an automated broadcast notification bot that publishes AliExpress product deals and answers product-search commands. This policy explains what the bot does and does not do with data in Google Chat and other messaging platforms.
The bot only processes messages that are explicitly directed at it: a direct message to the bot, or a message in a space that @mentions the bot. The text of such a command (for example, "search wireless earbuds under 100") is used solely to produce a reply.
The command text is sent to an AI language-model provider (OpenAI) to convert it into English search keywords, and those keywords are sent to the AliExpress Affiliate API to find products. The command text is not stored by the bot. Technical identifiers supplied by the platform (such as the space and user resource IDs) are held in memory only for as long as needed to deliver the reply and to apply rate limiting.
Operational logs record technical events (for example, the derived search keywords, result counts, and errors) for reliability and abuse prevention. They do not contain message history or personal profile data, and are retained only as long as needed for operations.
Product links are AliExpress affiliate links. When you click a link and visit AliExpress, AliExpress's own privacy policy applies to your activity on their site.
You can remove the bot from a space at any time. Once removed, it receives no further events from that space.
